Look Who's Crawling!

After working at it for weeks, Becca finally figured out how to crawl while we were at the cabin in McCall. While she discovered toilet paper and toiletries in the cabin, I managed to keep a pretty close eye on her because I didn't really have anything else to do--plus there were a lot of other adults around to amke sure she didn't get into trouble. But now that we're back home, she's made many more discoveries and I'm just not ready to defend the house against this new invader. The first day we were home, I pulled three rubber doorknob tips, two pretzel pieces, and a bouncy ball from her little clamped jaws. And she fell down the stairs. ON THE FIRST DAY! Luckily, our stairs have a turn half-way so it was a shortish fall onto carpet and she was more shaken and scared than hurt, but we cannot remember to keep that basement door shut. Hopefully, Becca learned her stair lesson and will avoid them from now on because I'm already feeling harried from yelling, "Shut the door!" fifty times a day.

She reminds me of a little pink doggie crawling around the house, showing up in odd corners, tasting everything she comes across, and occasionally looking up at you with big, round dark-gray eyes that say, "Look at me, I can CRAWL!"

Hooray, she's crawling!!! You know, we have a puppy here, if I bring her over, Becca will have a friend to crawl all around the house with! :)

I gave up on the stairs with AJ. I figured he would only fall down four or five the way my stairs are. He never learned not to go on the stairs, but he did learn how to go up and down quick. Good luck with that!

Love love to see your pictures of McCall. We haven't been there in such a long time. Remember when I told you that my husband grew up there? Anyway, glad you had a great time up there. I don't see you much anymore now that you pulled Matthew from Markus' class. lol Hope I see you around the neighborhood soon.

What a cute little one! I hate that mobile stage! Just go get one of those baby gates....but then it might be more of a hassle to open it for the kids 50 times a day than to yell "shut the door" 50 times a day! =) Good luck!
