Banging My Head Against a Wall

Me, at 10:00 last night: "You boys need to get in bed and go to sleep or you're going to crash."

Nathan: "What do you mean? We'll crash into each other?"

Me: "No, you'll crash mentally. You'll fall apart."

Nathan: "Like, we'll explode into a million pieces and die?"

Me: "No. [Insert long, wordy explanation about how you get cranky when you don't get enough sleep and your brain can't deal with things and so it crashes.]"

Nathan: "So...when I'm playing Indiana Jones [video game] tomorrow, I'll get mad because I can't figure it out and my brain will go crazy and I'll crash into Matthew..."

I gave up. I got the feeling he was sort of egging me on.

Perhaps "No, crash like I am about to do right now to your Indiana Jones video game."

Eh? How about that!

We have had a little too much crashing at our house too. Last night we watched a movie with our kids until 10:30 and I am paying for it this morning. Collin and Chase can't do anything but whine. I know it's summer but we are going back to 9 pm bedtime or I might crash.
Maggie's video is so cute. My boys may fight over her when they are older.

I feel like I have those conversations everyday with my girls! So frustrating! =) I love Maggie's singing too! I can't believe how big she has gotten since I had her in nursery!
