Oquirrh Mountain Temple

I took the kids through the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple yesterday. Maggie was so excited, she was the first one dressed. As we walked through she kept asking if this was the room where they get married. And Matthew wanted to know where they kiss on the lips. We finally found the sealing rooms at the top of the temple and the end of the tour. Because it was a special neighbor's tour we were served a fantastic little brunch afterwards. Then we walked around the grounds to check out the plantings designed by our next-door-neighbor. The kids had races with their complimentary water bottles down the front steps. And then we walked the few yards home.

Last Wednesday, I had an opportunity to attend the media tour. Elder Ballard as well as three other general authorities were our tour guides. I got to rub shoulders with some local journalist celebrities and there was even a reporter from The New York Times. And he sat down and asked me all about the community we live in. Yeah, it was pretty surreal. You can read the article I wrote for our little community website here.

Elly, what a fantastic article. You are very talented. I'm so excited for this new temple. How blessed you are to have it practically at your door step. We want to come down and tour sometime. Maybe I can get tickets and then have a get together after? Hope all is well. Kristie

That is so awesome! And how neat to be right down the street from a temple---no excuses now, huh? :)

Also, I never heard from you about the reunion----are you coming or not?

Everyone has paid their share---but we didn't get an answer from you---can you e-mail me?

Great job on the article. I didn't know Greg did the landscaping. I can't wait to go see the temple myself.

Love the picture! The boys are growing their hair?

I loved your temple article, by the way. You are such a great writer. I'm glad you got to have that experience.
