A little while ago, Maggie asked if she could invite a friend over to play. "Sure," I said, "Who would you like to have over?"
"Owen."
"Your cousin Owen lives in Florida. That's a long, long way away. He lives too far away to come play today. Who else would you like to invite over?"
So, Maggie got out a piece of paper and made a list of all her friends:
And then she announced, "Mom, this list says 'Owen' on it. So that means I can have Owen over to play."
In fact, she refused to accept that baby Owen (he's only a year old) couldn't come over to play until I called my sister Tori, who happens to be Owen's mom, put Maggie on the phone and Tori explained to her that they live too far away but that they'd see us after Christmas. And then we had to go down Maggie's list of friends to find someone else to play with that day.
Maggie also loves to write grocery lists. She very carefully writes down everything we need to buy. "Okay," she says as she writes, "What else, Mom?" Then we have to take her list to the store. Unfortunately, it's kind of hard to figure out what she's written in scribble, so usually I have to bring my own list, too.

LOL, I love this still. And I'm so glad she is a list-maker. Everyone should be, in my opinion!

I can't wait to see her Christmas list to Santa now. LOL!
I want a maggie at my house! I can't wait for Peyton to hit that fun stage of "being a little mommy" and doing everything you do. What a fun little girl! We sure miss you guys!
That looks like my "to do" list when I'm in a hurry and my brain is all scattered!
