The seeds of sibling rivalry...

While showing Maggie pictures of her new little cousin Owen, I said, "Look at this little baby, isn't he cute?"

"Cute. Cute baby," she said, pretty enthusiastically.

This is going well, I thought, I'll take it a little farther. "Should we have a baby at our house?" I asked Maggie.

"No," she said very emphatically, "No baby."

Maybe I shouldn't have made it seem like she has a choice.
