It's nice to know other parents do the same things. Katharine, I had to hold Nathan's hand to get him asleep until he was nearly two years old. I was determined Matthew wouldn't be the same way so I crib trained him from day 1. But he'd ONLY sleep in his crib which caused major problems on vacation. And Maggie I literally carried around in one arm for months. I learned how to cook meals, clean the house, and fold laundry one-handed.
Spammon: LOL! And, yes, I live about a block away from your sister.
Whatever it takes. Even though each of your kids had some little sleep issue, they all have turned out pretty nicely, right? And they know how to sleep in one way or another and that's what really matters, I think. I know, you're thinking "You need to be telling this to yourself." And trust me, I do - over and over again! Owen just slept for 11 hours straight again last night - yeah!
You look so tired Elly. Are you getting enough sleep? Its hard to remember how much sleep you lose when a newborn comes along. Have you read the Babywise book? Genius!

How I miss that! Joe had to have my hair on his face. Silly huh? Lucky you. Take advantage of that sleepy time!
I tried that with Lindsey and it didn't work.

I still do this with Trey! It is really sweet. I love it and am enjoying it while it lasts. Your baby is beautiful!
