Dirty Saturday

After we received a giant load of topsoil this morning, the kids spent the day playing in the dirt.

While the boys dug canyons, Maggie was Queen of the Hill (and kept getting in trouble for caving in the sides of the boys' holes).

Yes, that's dirt in Maggie's nose.

As I was bringing her inside for a nap (and shower) she said, "Sumping in my shoe." Sitting down, she took off her shoes and poured out the dirt. "Oh my gosh," she said. Gee, what a surprise!

Grandma made a picnic for the kids which they ate out in the green belt in front of our house.

That's my project next weekend. Where did you get your dirt?

Looks like fun! I can only imagine how much of that is going to end up in your house instead of your yard... :) I love the "sumping in my shoe" part.

I'm not moving any dirt--yeah right!--my hips still feel like they're not quite put back together. Poor Brian has to move it all himself. It's a good thing we only have a small side yard to do.
